Albacore Solid Tuna Cakes with Sesame Honey Aioli


Ingredients


(Serves 2-4)

1 can Ocean Naturals Albacore or Yellowfin Solid Tuna in Olive Oil
½ cup Mayonnaise
¼ cup Breadcrumbs
2 tbsp Chives, Thinly Sliced
2 tbsp Fine Diced Carrots

Breading:
3 Eggs Whipped
½ cup Flour
1 cup Breadcrumbs

Dipping sauce:
¼ cup Mayonnaise
2 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Honey
Salt to Taste

Instructions


Add tuna and all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly, then form 2 inch by 1 inch cakes, place on baking sheet and freeze for 20 minutes.

Bread the semi frozen tuna cakes by dusting in flour and be sure to remove excess, then dip in eggs, then completely coat in breadcrumbs. Repeat with remaining cakes.

Add ½ inch of vegetable oil to a medium large pan, then heat to 350 degrees. Fry cakes 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Allow to drain on a paper towel and serve with sesame honey dipping sauce.
