Classic Tuna Tartare with Ocean Naturals® Yellowfin Solid Tuna


(Serves 2)
Prep/Cook time: 20-35 minutes

1 can Ocean Naturals Yellowfin Solid Tuna in Olive Oil
1 tbsp Capers roughly chopped
1.5 tbsp Shallot fine chopped
1 tbsp Italian Parsley finely chopped
3 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
1 High-quality Pasteurized Egg Yolk or Quail Egg Yolk


Start by adding all ingredients (except the tuna and egg yolk) to a mixing bowl. Carefully mix ingredients together. Next, add the tuna to the bowl breaking it up into small pieces and combine with the other ingredients. Season with salt and fresh black pepper.

To plate, place tartar in the center of a chilled bowl and top with the egg yolk. When ready to serve, mix the egg yolk in with the tuna mixture and serve with toasted bread or your favorite crackers. `
