Ocean Naturals® Albacore Solid Tuna Squash Blossoms


(Serves 2)
Prep/Cook time: 25-35 minutes

6 Large Zucchini or Squash Flowers

For the filling:
1 can Ocean Naturals Albacore Solid Tuna in Olive Oil
½ cup Ricotta Cheese
2 tbsp Sliced Basil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Add tuna (drain excess olive oil) and all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly, then carefully fill the center of each flower with 1-2 tbsp. of the tuna filling.

1 cup All Purpose Flour
1 cup Rice Flower
Ice cold Soda Water
Mix until the consistency of pancake batter.


Fill a medium to large sauté pan with ½ inch of vegetable oil. Heat to 350 degrees.

Dust each filled blossom in flour and be sure to remove excess. Dip in batter and then into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Allow to drain on a paper towel then season with salt.
